New Releases from Device
Rian Hughes’ Device foundry brings us several new releases this week. Included among them are the futuristic and often retro-tinged display faces he is known for, as well as several distressed faces, a theme that is becoming more and more common in his work recently: While I have always been a fan of Rian’s work – and of course, like all his releases, these are technically excellent and certainly visually appealing – there is one face that really stood out for me. I’m not sure if it is its delicacy, or the gorgeous ligatures, or the uncial- and deco-flavored alternates, but Seabright Monument is definitely my favorite of the bunch
