According to a paper soon to be published in The Journal of Consumer Research , researchers have found that elite shoppers have their eyes on items that are distinguishable only by distinct design features or detailing . For the shopper, owning an item without any logo means being able to pick up on design cues usually unnoticed by the average consumer.
