Today we received our first invitations to the annual round of degree shows, his was quickly followed by everyone talking about how hard it will be for graduates this year. I am fast coming round to the idea of saying no to any student placements this summer and saving these places for graduates, so that they at least have the prospect of a couple of months of paid work.

Today we received our first invitations to the annual round of degree shows, his was quickly followed by everyone talking about how hard it will be for graduates this year.

I am fast coming round to the idea of saying no to any student placements this summer and saving these places for graduates, so that they at least have the prospect of a couple of months of paid work. Wouldn’t it be great if every agency tried to give a graduate a months paid work? 

I guess one problem with that idea is that there are more graduates then studio’s, but we might be able to have a positive effect on those who we can help.
