Jordan Jelev and Svetoslav Simov’s new two-style (each with accompanying italics) typeface Grant is influenced by Roman blackletter, Cyrillic calligraphy and the condensed display faces of the Art Deco movement. Its angularity is accented by a repeating diamond motif in the deco style, although both decorated and slim have enough detail to shine at extremely large sizes.

Grant is a welcome addition to the contemporary blackletter renaissance, and is quite appropriate for many large settings where horizontal space is at a premium.
