The limited edition publication explores the issue of unemployment
by way of collecting and documenting discarded Job Centre slips, found in and around the Sheffield area between late 2009 and early 2010. The end result—a striking series of stark black and white photographs, wonderfully composed with a real sense of respect towards the source material. An evocative and interesting self-initiated project which is certainly worth a look.
Dead Ends was launched with an exhibition of the original images in Sheffield earlier this month and the book can still be purchased via
the site. (£6 + £2 shipping)
