Urbanfonts- Urban Fonts has a nice variety of handpicked fonts, the website is user friendly as you can browse by plenty of categories and it also has the all too handy preview tool. Worth checking out!

Simplythebest.net- It may not exactly be the best but it does the job with plenty of free Fonts and some pretty useful tools.

Searchfreefonts- Over 13k Free Fonts all pretty well categorized need I say more. A great resource for finding that special font.

Neatfonts- Indeed Neatfonts has some  neat fonts, with an easy to use preview system which is always a delight on Free Font sights.

Fontspace- Fontspace has  almost 10k fonts available, all are hand categorized in 3000 different categories making the search for you font that much easier. Avery nice and easy to use site are defintely a plus when browsing. Worth a look for sure.

Fontshack- Fontshack has  a nice selection of fonts to choose from, although not the largest selection a more curated selection for your font desires.

Fontreactor- A Spanish language site with many fonts in many different categories. A fun site to browse.

Fontica- Fontica has many fonts to choose from in a well organized manner..Lots of search options make it a good source for Free Fonts.

Fontfreak- Font Freak boasts  with 5000 fonts, You can search and download on an as needed basis or you can download them all on one CD.

FontFace- Fontface has a nice selection of Fun fonts, perhaps  not the easiest way to search when compared to Dafont, but worth taking a gander.

fonts101- Fonts 101 has lots of fonts which you can search by category although most you might not want to touch, theres even a font called Kabob Font…Not sure how your stomach will feel after..

Discoverfonts- Discover Fonts has a wide variety of Fonts you can sort by category or alphabet. It also boast a wide range of tools definitely worth checking out.

Dafont- Very well known site, I have been using it for years, for its fast reliable search mechanism and the great ability to preview fonts with your own text.  One of the best sites for free fonts!

Creamundo- Creamuno has  many  free fonts  too choose for in a an easy to navigate interface.. Almost 10,000 free fonts.

Chank- Although limited in free fonts Chanko has a great selection of fun original fonts for every niche… Check out the food font! Amazing!!

Better Fonts- Better Fonts has a wide range of fonts ready to download for your enjoyment.

Abstract Fonts- With a database of thousands of fonts its no wonder why Abstract fonts continues to be very popular. You can search by category, designer, language and other variables

1001freefonts.com- AS the name may suggest this site has a lot of fonts, perhaps more than 1001, a great resource for finding as downloading great free fonts.

Fontforge-  Fontforge a great tool that  that lets you create your own postscript, truetype, opentype, cid-keyed, multi-master, cff, svg and bitmap (bdf, FON, NFNT) fonts, or edit existing ones.  A must for any serious or aspiring types designer.

Fontstruct- This is one of may favorite sites where you can create and share and download custom made fonts by its dedicated community of designers fans and friends alike.

Identifont-Here you’ll identify attributes of the font your font Query and Boom Presto it will give font options and where to download the font you’ve been pending all day  searching for.

The Font Thing- For all you windows users ..The Font Thing is a freeware program for managing TrueType fonts in Windows 95, Windows 98 and Windows NT 4.0.

Type Navigator- Typenavigator has a very sophisticated visual font search engine which can help you figure out what font to use by its visual characteristics.

Typetester.org- Typester has a great tool for comparing up to three different fonts at the same time! You can even adjust the tool for different sizes color and shape.. One of the most useful  Free Font Sites.

Fontpark-Fontpark  is a great tool that enables you manipulate fonts to turn them into faces, designs or whatever you can imagine. Users can share , vote and discover new fonts
